RAPID CITY, S.D. – Construction has resumed near the Spring Creek Bridges. Crews are milling and removing the existing asphalt at the bridge ends. Asphalt leveling will take place mid-week followed by a final asphalt overlay. Topsoil placement will also resume followed by permanent seeding from the easternmost Spring Creek Bridge moving east.
All work within the roadway is expected to be complete by the end of August.
The speed limit is 35 mph from Victoria Lake Road to the easternmost Spring Creek Bridge. Motorists are asked to be aware of suddenly slowing and merging traffic, changing work zone locations, reduced speeds through the work zone, and construction workers and equipment adjacent to the driving lanes.
Additional information will be provided as phasing, access, and traffic control changes with the progression of the project.
