RAPID CITY, S.D. – Asphalt paving will continue this week at the easternmost Spring Creek Bridge. The remaining section of Phase Three is surfaced with the first lift of asphalt as of Monday, July 18, 2022 . The final lift of asphalt will be placed by the end of July. Topsoil placement, temporary seeding, and general cleanup continues throughout the work area as well.
The speed limit is 35 mph from Victoria Lake Road to the easternmost Spring Creek Bridge. Motorists are asked to be aware of suddenly slowing and merging traffic, changing work zone locations, reduced speeds through the work zone, and construction workers and equipment adjacent to the driving lanes.
