Work between Victoria Lake Road and Rockwood Road will begin this week in preparation for asphalt paving, which includes dirt work at the guardrail end sections and street sweeping. The top lift of asphalt is expected to be placed late this week.
Additional excavation, slope finishing, and pipe installation continue in the construction areas west of Rockwood Road.
Between Rockwood Road and the easternmost Spring Creek bridge, the road consists of dirt grade. Motorcycles and two-wheel drive vehicles should consider an alternate route. During inclement weather, blading and road surface maintenance will be completed which will cause slippery and muddy road conditions.
The speed limit is 35 mph from Victoria Lake Road to the easternmost Spring Creek Bridge. Motorists are asked to be aware of suddenly slowing and merging traffic, changing work zone locations, reduced speeds through the work zone, and construction workers and equipment adjacent to the driving lanes.
Additional information will be provided as phasing, access, and traffic control changes with the progression of the project.
