RAPID CITY, S.D. – February 29, 2022 – Work will resume this week on Sheridan Lake Road.
Surfacing removal will begin at the easternmost Spring Creek Bridge moving east. Trucks will be hauling to the storage yard near Victoria Gulch BR 1A. (Forest Service Road). Guardrail and sign removal will also take place within the limits of this year’s work. During inclement weather, blading and road surface maintenance will be completed, but road conditions may be slippery and muddy.
The speed limit is 35 MPH from Victoria Lake Road to the easternmost Spring Creek Bridge. Motorists are asked to be aware of suddenly slowing and merging traffic, changing work zone locations, reduced speeds through the work zone, and construction workers and equipment adjacent to the driving lanes.
Additional information will be provided as phasing, access, and traffic control changes with the progression of the project.
