RAPID CITY, S.D. – March 22, 2021 – Work resumes this week on the gravel detour to the Marina from Highway 385. Blasting rock for excavation will also continue this week. Work this week also includes earth moving and installing storm sewer in Phase 1.
Tree removal continues from Boulder Hill Road to the west.
Patching and road cleanup will take place from Norseman Lane to Boulder Hill Road as needed.
Motorists are asked to be aware of suddenly slowing and merging traffic, changing work zone locations, reduced speeds through the work zone, and construction workers and equipment adjacent to the driving lanes. Additional information will be provided as phasing, access, and traffic control changes with the progression of the project.
