RAPID CITY, S.D. – November 17, 2020 – Work this week includes replacing mailboxes and installing permanent signs. Oftedal also intends to work from Norseman Lane to Highway 385 outside of the existing roadway, as weather allows. That work will include pipe installation, grading, and clearing.
Crews from Pennington County Highway Department are removing trees adjacent to Sheridan Lake Road between Dakota Point Road and Burgess Road. This work is expected to take place through November.
Motorists are asked to be aware of suddenly slowing and merging traffic, changing work zone locations, reduced speeds through the work zone, and construction workers and equipment adjacent to the driving lanes.
Additional information will be provided as phasing, access, and traffic control changes with the progression of the project. To view the entire scope of the project, with the phasing and traffic control plans as well as weekly updates, please visit the Story Map located at: https://arcg.is/58fn9.
