Sheridan Lake Road Reconstruction from Albertta Drive to Norseman Lane

RAPID CITY, S.D. – May 28, 2020 – Cold milling operation will begin on Sheridan Lake Road on Monday, June 1, 2020, beginning at the intersection of Albertta Drive and ending at Norseman Lane. Traffic will be reduced to a single lane and guided through the work zone with the use of flaggers and a pilot car. Traffic delays are expected to be 15 minutes. Flaggers will be stationed at the ends of the milling work zone and at intersecting streets. Residents with access directly onto Sheridan Lake Road will be notified when the milling operation will occur near their driveways. The cold milling operation is expected to be complete by June 6, 2020.

Storm sewer crews will begin work on Tuesday, June 2, at Albertta Drive.

Utility relocation activities continue to progress along the north side of Sheridan Lake from Albertta Drive to Clarkson Road.

Motorists are asked to be aware of suddenly slowing and merging traffic, changing work zone locations, reduced speeds through the work zone, and construction workers and equipment adjacent to the driving lanes.

Additional information will be provided as phasing, access, and traffic control changes with the progression of the project. The public may leave a message at (605)343-3311 with any questions or concerns regarding this reconstruction project.
